Welcome to the District Courts

Khyber, formerly an Agency, was a Federally Administered Tribal Area of Pakistan. The area was merged in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following the Twenty-Fifth Constitutional Amendment in 2018. In the same year, the District Judiciary got established. It was previously housed at the Federal Judicial Complex Hayatbad in Peshawar. Now five courts(District and Session Judge, two courts of Additional District and Session Judges, Senior Civil Judge, and one Civil Judge) are functioning in Jamrud, two (civil judges) in Bara, and One(civil judge) in Landikotal.

No longer the justice here is a hunch of the bench. With less formalism, more ingenuity, less adversarialism, more inquisitorialism, the judiciary is all set to achieve the constitutional objectives of inexpensive and expeditious justice.
